Meet Our Rockin' Lesson Horses

Fig Newton our one-eyed wonder pony, A.K.A. "Figgy"

Figgy is a Leopard P.O.A. (Pony of the Americas), she is 12.2 hands tall and is 12 years old.  A few years ago she sustained a kick by another horse that gave her skull fractures and caused her left eye to rupture.  Surgery was performed to remove the eye, and she recovered nicely from all of her injuries!  She was then donated to our farm and since she was a well trained hunter jumper pony prior to her loss of the left eye, she is still a very reliable mount, she just has to rely on her rider a little extra for direction.  We are very excited to have Figgy participate in our program, she is an inspiration to us all!

Aries is an Apendix QH who is about 19 years old and 16.1 hands tall.  Aries is gentle and patient with everyone and does it all from therapy riding all the way to jumping 2'6" at the Hunter Jumper Shows.

Stormy is a 8 year old Paint horse, who is just barley a horse at 14.1 hands.  Stormy loves people and attention.  Stormy would like to do barrels... Anyone up for that?

Bobby is an 8 year old Thoroughbred who stands at 16 hands.  Bobby has an amazing personality and does everything.

Zippy is a 7 year old, 15 hand mare with a smooooooth trot.  She has a very sweet side to her personality, but can have an attitude too - teenager!

Rocky is owned and loved by Carrie Murphy.  He is a 15 hand Morgan with the biggest brown eyes.  Rocky helps out with both Therapeutic Classes as well as our Riding Lesson classes and he has many fans around the farm.

Cricket is a 15.1 hand, 16 year old Tennessee Walker.  Cricket is a kind and gentle horse when it comes to taking care of her riders, she very much loves to have a job as important as this one : )

Pedro is an 12 year old Welsh pony cross who stands at 10.2 hands.  He is such a hard worker who loves to take care of the kids and puts up with a lot.  He also LOVES doing shows! Pedro is on loan to Kiddy Up farm therapeutic riding until May 2012 to help them get their program up and running!

Paddie Cakes is an adorable Miniature horse standing at 32" tall. She is just 8 years old and loves pampering and attention. she loves to help with our littlest Therapy Riding students : )
