A note from Chrissy's dad...
My Daughter Chrissy was interviewed for the following newspaper article about Rockin HorseFarm. Chrissy receives physical therapy in the form of horseback riding at the farm. In this time after the tragedy in Newtown Ct. where our faith in humanity was shaken like never before this was a very healthy reminder that there are people out there that are selfless and giving Amy Baird is one of those people, not only does the farm provide therapeutic horseback riding for people with disabilities but also provides teenagers a place to volunteer and feel needed, some of these kids come from broken homes and this is a place that makes them care about themselves as well as others, she teaches these kids to have open hearts and to give back to the community. I would like to ask for people to give back to the farm by sharing their story and if you could give a donation that would be very much appreciated, their website is www.rockinhorsefarm.org. Please pay it forward by sharing this story and help keep organizations like this going
Many thanks to those who donate their time or funds to help keep our program going!!!
A heart felt thank you to the Guardian Trust and NNAD for providing us with a grant to make improvements that will help both our students and our animals!!!
A big thank you to NSPR, not only have they adopted us for the month of August 2013 to help us with PR for the farm and it's programs, but they have gone out of their way to help us get news coverage this month as well!!!

"The Horse Connection Program at Rockin' Horse Farm has made a dramatic difference in my son, Jason's life. Jason had no attachment to people or animals. He was not interested in anything and he has trouble concentrating. We were lucky enough to have gotten a scholarship to Horse Connection about a year ago and ever since Jason started taking lessons and volunteer at the farm, he can't stay away. He looks forward every week to see Miss. Amy and of course his favorite girl, Kashi. Kashi is a beautiful grey and white horse that Jason loves. I can't say enough about the Horse Connection Program it is the best program out there and it has helped Jason tremendously."

Therapeutic Horsemanship and Riding
Horse Connection Flyer
According to the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association "Because horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the rider's body in a manner similar to a human gait, riders with physical disabilities often show improvement in flexibility, balance and muscle strength." "For individuals with mental or emotional disabilities, the unique relationship formed with the horse can lead to increased confidence, patience and self-esteem."
